My art tells meaningful stories of unheard voices, and calls for us to lead life with empathy. Using my colourful and intuitive artworks, I want to inspire you to make soulful connections with art, and through that, humanity.
Milie Nguyen's Biography
Milie is a self-taught artist who has lived in five countries across Asia and Europe, and has traveled the world extensively. She worked with international non-profit organizations in the field of social innovation and community development. Her experiences working with underprivileged communities are reflected in the powerful, colorful, story telling and healing themes of her impressionistic oil paintings.
Milie paints with the belief that art can evoke powerful feelings and empathy towards impactful action. She uses art as a medium to heal and empower herself and others. In her quest for constant self discovery, she learn to overcome her own demons and finding joy in knowing she is not alone in her fears and desires. She expresses her realisations with free and colourful brushstrokes. These paintings tell stories that are based on real life experiences of pain and healing, created through a soulful and empowering co-creation process with its subjects.

Milie currently paints and operates her independent art business in the country side of Cheshire, United Kingdom where she, her husband and son currently reside.

All About Me
Here are a few facts about me:

A Vietnamese global citizen. I've been to more than 30 countries.

I've lived in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and currently living in the UK.

I grew up in a hill with humble beginning, surrounded by nature.

I have good knowledge about wild plants and insects.

I am a self-taught artist. I've been painting since I was a little girl.

I was also a theater kid. I was acting since kindergarten up until university.

I was a book nerd with a collection of almost 3000 books and comics growing up.

I went to business school and worked in the social sector before pursuing art.

I worked intensively in the field of innovation.

My husband and I have a dream to live sustainably on a sail boat off the grid in the open sea.

When I am not creating art, I enjoy hosting events, meeting new people, travelling, movies and cooking delicious food.

My husband, Adam, is my soul mate. And my son Harry, is the love of my life.
